- SPECIAL THANKS
Over the years more than a few people have helped me out. This includes some staff members, affiliates, hosts, and a variety of other people. In the following section I’d like to thank them, once again, for the influence they have had. I’ve taken the time to write out some long descriptions of some of the contributions and only listed others. However, they are not listed in any order. Some people have been more influential than others and some have simply been good friends or very helpful over the years.
Jason Rappaport (GoldenChaos) - Jase is currently the owner of both Zelda Universe and ZeldaWiki . Aside from simply being a nice, helpful guy to chit chat with, you can thank him for the beautiful layout you see right now. He didn’t design it, but he inspired it. I don’t know what it was, but during out chit chat about the site’s logo something just clicked and I worked non-stop on this masterpiece for several hours (stopping only once to sleep and even skipping a class). This layout is the by far the best thing I’ve ever managed to create and had it not been for that chit chat with Jase I would have settled with my previous “perfect” (or so I thought) layout.
Jason Stiles (Syler) - Yes, another Jason. Jason was the webmaster of The Player Domain. They hosted this website during the time when it was called The Epoch. Unfortunately, I no longer have contact with Jason and The Player Domain was shut down years ago. However, he is responsible for giving me a push further into web design. He introduced me to absolute position. It may seem silly to some people nowadays (if you are familiar with web design), but that was one of the first CSS elements I learned to use. Jason gave me a layout that I remember well (I wish I had the files still, or even a picture). I used it for a good while and it helped me develop my skills further. It’s amazing what a nice guy, a line of code, and an orange and black layout can do.
Kevin Kapolnek (ThunderFire) - I’ll never forget this guy. Kevin was a staff member for the original website back in the summer of 2002. To be exact, he was our very first graphic designer. Though he was very young, younger than me, he was good at what he did (and I hope he still is). Unfortunately, I quickly lost contact with all of the staff. However, over the years I have tried multiple times to find them (and actually succeeded in finding the two brothers who wrote the bulk of our original content). More than anyone, I’ve tried to find Kevin. The animated graphics we had back then are rather primitive and very un-professional compared with what we have today, but Kevin sparked my interest in graphic design and it has never left me.
- Lysia - Webmistress of Legends and Adventures , our very first affiliate. While I no longer speak to her nearly as often as I once did, we’ve had more than a few good conversations. Lysia is very nice and helpful and I wish her the best.
- Miles Conlan - Webmaster of Nincase , a website we once merged with, and a good friend.
- Aric Renzo - My fellow hostee at The Player Domain. Aric ran a Metroid website back then. Unlike many of the other people on this page, Aric and I are still friends and I speak with him regularly.
- Henry Henderson (HenHouse) - The webmaster of Zelda Oracles , our current host.
- Lars-Christian Simonsen (AnakiN) - Former webmaster of Zelda Universe and the one who accepted us as a hostee during the time of The Seven’s Seal.
- Rauru - The webmaster of Zelda Master , one of our early affiliates. He rarely has time to update his site nowadays, but he is a good guy and one of the few people who was involved with this site in its very early stages.
- Link and Goten - The two brothers who were responsible for writing most of The Temple of Time’s original content. They were the last staff members I lost contact with and the first I regained contact with (to this day I still have some contact with Link, although he is no longer staff).
- Kaepora Gaebora - Our very first staff member, a young woman. I have no idea where she is now, but I wish her the best of luck in life. Take good of care of that horse named Epona.
- Mases Hagopian - The owner of Zelda Dungeon , another affiliate from very early on. As a nice bonus, he’s a nice guy.
- Neal Daniel (GO) - Once my fellow staff member and once my host. While I rarely get to speak with him nowadays, I’m happy to say I still have contact with him. One of these days we’ll have to sit down and have a nice long chit chat again.
In addition to all the people, I have already mentioned a handful of websites that were important in the development of this one. I would like to once again recognize those sites as well as a few more. Many of these sites were once our hosts and are no longer online for various reasons.
