WATERFALL OF WISHING
- The Waterfall of Wishing is one of the few special fairy fountains in the game and one of two in the Light World. The Waterfall of Wishing is located northeast of the Witch’s Hut (which is northeast of Link’s House) very close to Zora’s Waterfall. As the name implies, the fountain is hidden behind a waterfall and you will need Zora’s Flippers to gain access to it.
  
  When you approach the fountain you are given the option of throwing in an item. You can scroll through all of your items and chose one to throw in. After you throw an item in, a fairy will appear and ask you if you had thrown it in. You can either tell the truth and say you did or lie and say you didn’t.
  
  If you tell the truth, the fairy will return the item to you. However, if you throw in one of the correct items and tell the truth then the fairy will give you something better.
  
  If you lie, the fairy will return the item to you. If you throw in one of the correct items and then lie the fairy will not upgrade it.
  
  There are three items that the fairy will upgrade: the Boomerang, Shield, and an Empty Bottle.
  
  The Waterfall of Wishing is the only way to obtain the Magical Boomerang. The Magical Boomerang works just like the original except that it can fly farther.
  
  The Waterfall of Wishing is the free way to get the Magic Shield. Alternatively, you can purchase the Magic Shield in the Dark World. It allows you to block fireballs.
  
  The last item can be repeated as many times as you want (as long as you have an Empty Bottle). The fairy will fill your Bottle with the Medicine of Magic (Green Potion). It’s a cheap and easy way to get free magic restoring potion for the dungeons late in the game.
