Location: Tower of Hera
Effective Weapons: SwordAttacks: Moldorm moves around his platform at a fast pace and will move quicker as he gets closer to defeat. Collison and falling are the only ways you will take damage.
Strategy: The fight with Moldorm takes place on a small platform surrounded by a pit. There is also a pit in the middle of the platform. Moldorm’s only weak point is his small tail and you need to strike the tail six times with your sword to defeat Moldorm. It is easiest to strike him after he does a U-Turn. As he nears defeat, he will begin to move quicker and that complicates things.
The fight is relatively simple, but the one thing really standing in your way is the pits. If Moldorm knocks you off the platform, you will fall to the lower level. When that happens you must climb the stairs and start the fight over again (meaning, he is back at full health). In order to avoid falling I recommend that you avoid the left side of the platform unless absolutely necessary. The hole in the platform is not exactly in the middle - it’s a bit to the left. That means that there is more room to move on the right side. In addition, I recommend staying near the bottom side of the platform whenever possible because that is the only side where you cannot fall off (there is a wall).
Other Tips:
- If you do fall, there are tons of pots on the previous floor to regain your health.
