- Hyrule Castle Dungeon

The boomerang is hidden in small room near the dungeon. The room also contains a castle guard that must be defeated for a key, so it is very hard to miss the room where the boomerang is located. It is in a normal size chest, not a large one, so you will not need the big key. […]
Dungeon Boss: Ball & Chain Trooper
As the name implies, the Trooper carries a large Ball & Chain. He will periodically swing it around a few times. The first couple swings will be short range, but the last swing will extend and reach when you are farther away. […]
How Do I Get There?
Hyrule Castle is located just north of Link’s House (where you begin the game). When you first go to the castle, it is marked on your map and all other sections of the world are closed because guards block the paths. Approach the castle from the south and you will quickly notice that the gate is also locked. You must find an alternate way in.
This alternate way is a secret passage that leads into the castle courtyard, where the entrance is. From the castle’s front gate, head east (right) and follow the small brick path around the castle wall. When you reach the end of it, you will find a small bush surrounded by bricks. Pick up the bush to reveal the pathway.
Acquiring The Map
The map is “hidden” in a room that you must go through to complete the level. It is on the first room you visit in the first basement. It’s located in a chest in the center of the room. There is also a castle guard in this room that must be defeated for a key.
Acquiring The Big Key
The big key is dropped by the boss. Once you have defeated him, you use the key to unlock Princess Zelda’s prison cell. After that, the big key is of no use.
