- Eastern Palace

The bow is hidden in the big chest inside the Eastern Palace. The chest is located in the central area of the dungeon. You will have to pass right by it multiple times while you are inside. When you find the big key, return to the chest to open it and then continue north into new areas of the dungeon. However, when you open the chest and take the Bow, Stalfos will drop from the ceiling and their heads will fly around at you for a few seconds. […]
The Knight simply march around. Most damage will be done by you running into them. The last Knight will try to stomp on you by chasing you around. […]
How Do I Get There?
As the name implies, the Eastern Palace is located in the far east edges of Hyrule. Before you can complete the dungeon, you will need to visit Kakariko and have a young man, who is tending chickens near the shop, mark the location of Sahasrahla’s hideout on your map. The Eastern Palace is just to the east of Sahasrahla’s hideout.
You can follow the northern or southern roads and make it to the Eastern Palace. It is a very dry canyon-like area. Sahasrahla’s hideout is located in one of the lower areas. After you speak with him, head east from his hideout. Follow the path until you go down a ladder and then head north to find the palace.
Acquiring The Map
The map in the Eastern Palace is very out of the way. Acquiring it takes you off the main path and into rooms you would never visit if you weren’t trying to get the map.
To obtain it, continue through the palace as normal until you reach an area where the game forces you to go left or right. You’ll know it’s the right spot if you can see the big chest in an area below you. Going left will take you to the compass, big key, bow, and eventually the boss. However, if you want the map you need to go right. On the right there is a floor switch to open the door, just like on the left. Enter the newly opened door to find a room filled with Stalfos. You should be able to ignore them while you head to the door in the upper right corner.
In the next room, there is only one enemy and five pots. There is a switch underneath the pot in the center of the room. Head south through the newly opened door to find a chest containing the map.
Acquiring The Compass
The compass is hard to miss because you have to walk right past the chest. When the game forces you to go left or right, go left. You will battle through two rooms filled with Stalfos and then head north to find a room with the compass.
Acquiring The Big Key
The big key is needed to gain access to the second floor of the dungeon and to acquire the bow. To reach it, run through the level until you find the compass. Then, head east. You will pass right by the big chest and then into more rooms containing Stalfos. Continue following the set path until you reach a larger room with a variety of enemies in it four Anti-fairies rotating around a pot.
Defeat all of the enemies. There are pots that can be thrown at some, but your sword will easily take care of each of the enemies. Once they are all defeated, the four Anti-fairies will move away from the pot and begin moving around the room. Life the pot and hit the switch under it to make a new chest, containing the big key, appear.
